sun-kissed (back from the okanagan, part 2)

our trip to the okanagan continued... we traveled north...

we spent time at our regular hangout in summerland, the punta norte, for the last few days. george and colleen are doing what they are supposed to be doing - they play the role of host very well. and their dog, zune, is very playful (and crazy) - kai loves hanging out with her. we visited the beaches of summerland, naramata, and peachland. we drank a gewurztraminer slushy from kettle valley winery - refreshing and yum! we ate alot of peaches. i swear they taste more lovely eaten right where they are grown. we engaged in tickle wars - kai found out my tickle weakness spot. we ate well too (the vanilla pod at poplar grove winery was my favourite and my old favourite was il vecchio deli in penticton). that was it. simple. bliss. relaxing.

now we're back to real life with commitments and responsibilities. i am not quite back at work yet but i am in planning mode - kai is gearing up for school on tuesday (can't believe it's already here!), organizing after school activities, and we're planning his upcoming birthday party... all good stuff but i kinda wish we were back in the okanagan.

have a lovely weekend!
